Window is a building component, which is generally used for closing an opening in a wall that will admit light and may provide ventilation and views to the building occupants. Windows are typically factory produced unit that has one or more openings bounded by a perimeter frame. Performance of a window may be assessed as an independent unit.
One of the components may be used for fixings the windows in position is fixing lug. In this article, attempts were made to discuss some of the most common design and installation workmanship issues in relation to the window fixing lugs using real life examples of the author.
