G.4.9 – Safety Concerns of Fragile Rooflight

This article has been written by one of our façade engineers, following a non-intrusive investigation of “Fragile” or “Class 3” rooflight in accordance with CWCT Technical Note No. 66. The main purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the current condition of the rooflights and to provide a commentary on ways in which to achieve a “Class 2” roof as per the aforementioned CWCT Technical Note, which is classified as a “Non-Fragile” structure.
